This year between 26-28 August 2019 EAIR 41th Annual Forum took place in Netherland, Leiden at Leiden Universiy. This year’s main theme of the conference was “Developing inclusive policies for diverse campuses”. İbn Haldun University research asistan at the Faculty of Educational Sciences Nagehan Pakdamar Tüzgen presented the research on “Muslim covered woman’s educational and socio-cultural experiences” that conducted by a team of three; Dr. Nevra Seggie associate professor from Boğaziçi Üniversity, Research Assistant Nagehan Pakdamar Tüzgen and MA Hümeyra Dinçer.
The subject of the study is increasing internationalization of higher education and the importance of inclusive policies for wide diversity of student groups and their changing needs. The study is focusing on socio-cultural and educational experiences of muslim women students with headscarf from Turkey because of increasing muslim student population especialy in Europe. The results of the research contributed from the participants of other european countries about their situation in their home country.
