Short Biography

Associate Professor Dr. Nadire Gülçin Yıldız completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Psychology at Hacettepe University between 1987 and 1991. After obtaining her master's degree in 2004 at the University of Iowa, she continued her doctoral studies at the same university. During this process, she examined the linguistic diversity of school counselors in relation to different school, family, and community structures. After earning her doctoral title in 2011, she began her academic career in 2012 at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University in the Department of Educational Sciences. Subsequently, she served in academic positions at Üsküdar University, Istanbul Gelişim University, and Istanbul Medipol University.

 

Since 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldız has been continuing her academic duties at Istanbul Medipol University. Additionally, she works as a part-time academician in the Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Ibn Haldun University. Throughout her academic career, she has conducted significant research in various fields such as educational sciences research and evaluations, bilingual children's education, legal and social aspects of occupational health and safety, empathy, daily lives of individuals aged 65 and above, the roles of school counselors, and social-emotional problems of gifted children.
