The seminar titled “Stakeholders in Child Education: Family and Beyond,” organized by the School of Education and featuring Prof. Dr. Ozana Ural as the speaker, was held.
As the event coincided with Teachers’ Day on November 24, the program opened with a brief celebration. The opening continued with welcoming remarks delivered by Prof. Özcan Erkan Akgün, Acting Dean of the School of Education, and Assoc. Prof. Nihal Yurtseven, Chair of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling.
Following the opening, Prof. Ozana Ural emphasized that child education is shaped by a multi-dimensional network of stakeholders extending beyond the family. She highlighted the complementary roles of the family, school, and society in child development, and discussed methods for building a healthy educational ecosystem, supported by recent research findings.
The program continued with a question-and-answer session. At the end of the event, Prof. Özcan Erkan Akgün, Vice Rector of our University and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Ozana Ural for her contributions and presented her with a token of appreciation.
