Organized by the School of Education, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling within the scope of the Introduction to Education course, the educational seminar titled “From Studenthood to Academia: Changing Climate of Education and Experiences” was held on April 20, 2026, with the participation of our university students.

The program, coordinated by our faculty member, Asst. Prof. Nagehan Pakdamar Tüzgen, brought together students and university members with guest speaker Prof. Saffet Tüzgen. The seminar addressed the transformation from studenthood to academia, focusing on the construction of academic identity, changing educational paradigms, and the dynamics of contemporary higher education.

Throughout the program, Asst. Prof. Tüzgen emphasized that the academic journey is not merely an individual career path, but also a process of intellectual development and a search for meaning. The seminar featured important reflections on the changing climate of education and offered insights that contributed to raising students’ awareness regarding their academic futures.

Offering a conceptual and inspiring perspective beyond the sharing of personal experiences, the seminar was further enriched by students’ questions and interactive discussions during the Q&A session, concluding as a productive academic gathering.
